:- 5.0 out of 5 stars from Jazz -- When literature becomes relatable : First of all I love poetry and the title was just so catchy that it compelled me to buy it. It was well worth the buy. We all have been in the place that these collection of poems describes. We've had to deal with heartbreak and toxic exes and bad dates. It was a joy to read. - 5.0 out of 5 stars from Apa Flores -- poignant and eloquent : Sometimes you read a title and you don’t know what to think when you start reading. That’s how it started for me, but as I read each poem, I started to understand better and in return each word started to make an impact. ( Reviewed in the United States on October 29, 2021 )
- 5.0 out of 5 stars from Brenna Johnson -- Love love LOVE : you find a little piece of yourself in these poems and a little piece heals after. Women are trash too 🤍 ( Reviewed in the United States on October 29, 2021 )
- 5.0 out of 5 stars from Anna Farmer -- Shines a light on vulnerability and empowers the modern boss babe in all of us : Franziska’s poems expose a layer of vulnerability that is commonly felt but seldom expressed. As the pages progress, her tone evolves to a more empowering voice, confident in her spirit and what she has to offer. This lil book empowers a big self awakening we all wish to achieve for our inner heartbroken little girl. By the end of this book, I hope you too, take her nuggets of wisdom & healing to awaken into your most badass boss babe - confident in what you bring to the table and less dependent on societal constructs of what monogamy should be/look like. - 5.0 out of 5 stars from Dr Jo -- A thought-provoking journey through sadness, love and hope. : ‘Men are Trash’ is an intriguingly built curation of new poems on relationships through the journey of love. Whilst we all open our hearts to others in unique ways, there are new insights yet familiarity with the authors’ disclosures of her path. I found myself wanting to read quickly to reveal the wisdom yet slowly to hold on to the messaging of the moments. To complement the poems are beautifully constructed images that warrant as much thought as the poetry. ‘Damaged goods’ is my favourite. I have friends who have recently moved through love, and I look forward to gifting copies to them to help them to emerge and shine. ( Reviewed in the United States on October 31, 2021 )
- 5.0 out of 5 stars from cathy terbush -- Girl, Same! : Throughout life, we come across individuals who impact us in all different ways that help shape our core. Men are Trash takes us on a journey of some of those characters we have all had in our lives that make us feel broken or lost and puts an encouraging spin to not obsess and dote on the past - but move forward and find ourselves and our purpose. This book is a great representation of how sometimes growth is messy and emotional - so feel those emotions but most importantly let them drive you to do and be better! Definitely recommend giving this book a read! ( Reviewed in the United States on October 28, 2021 )
- 5.0 out of 5 stars from Estelle O'C -- Therapy for Self Recovery : If you have ever been let down by bad relationships and felt the pain of dealing with recovering your self, then this book will no doubt resonate and may even prove a form of therapy. Franziska Pugh has been incredibly brave to share her experience in a series of beautiful poems that are very easy to read, sometimes confronting and often breathtakingly simple. Thank you Franziska. - 5.0 out of 5 stars from Sean Guyeski -- A collection for Men to read too! : Men, don’t let the title deter you! As a male reader, I thought this collection of poems was an informative and inspiring look through the eyes of the author. Through her poems, she guides the reader through her experiences and reflections of her previous relationships and interactions with men. Some will leave you wanting more information, some will shock you, some will make you sad but the collection as a whole will have you reflecting on your own similar stories and by the end you can join the author in realizing that scars will heal, “women are trash, too,” and love is not dead.
